How to Order the Oncotype DX® Breast Cancer Assay in UK and Ireland

  1.   Contact Genomic Health® Customer Support to obtain specimen transportation kit boxes, pre-printed shipping materials and pathology guidelines for preparation of samples. Kit boxes arrive within 2 to 3 business days.

  2.   Order online or via paper requisition form. Contact Customer Support to request online access or to obtain paper forms.

  3.   Prepare the specimen for submission. Detailed instructions are provided with the specimen box. While the Genomic Health laboratory can accept tumour blocks and unstained slides, blocks are preferred due to the frequent requirement of manual microdissection of the specimen consistent with clinical trial experience.

  4.   Ship the specimen in the specimen kit box to our centralised laboratory in Redwood City, California, using the pre-printed FedEx Air Waybill and Commercial Invoice. Genomic Health covers the shipping charges using FedEx. (FedEx UK: 08456 07 08 09 | Ireland: 1 800 535 800)

  5.   Receive results within 7 to 10 calendar days of receipt of the specimen (provided that all information required has been included on the online order/requisition form). Results are returned via secure online access and facsimile the ordering physician.

How Can I Access Reports?

The Oncotype DX® invasive breast cancer results are typically reported within 7 - 10 days after the sample is received. 

Reports can be delivered by fax or secure online transfer to the treating physician, submitting pathologist and/or other authorized healthcare providers.

In an effort to provide high-quality customer service and rapid turnaround time, Genomic Health offers online access to patient test results.
